This is a collage of all the commission characters I did so far for the anime book at Evil Robot Games. I'm very happy that I've been allowed to post the artworks I've done for this project.
The idea is to draw one of each of the most typical anime stereotypes. From left to right:
1. Traditional japanese girl, someone who you'd expect to practice kendo
2. glasses girl
3. sporty girl
4. long straight haired school girl
5. the pretty boy
6. the wild guy
7. the nerdy otaku
Hope you like them
Thoughts and Ideas are appreciated ^_^
Thank you!
i think you're missing some stereotypes there like the insane guy bent on destroying/changing the world, or the grab-happy pervert, or the girl with reeeallllyyy large funbags, or the tentacle monster. what self-respecting anime doesn't have a tentacle monster?! geeze
anyways, this makes me wanna watch more anime to classify more stereotypes XD
alright, srsly though, this is missing some key stereotypes. The moody guy. The shy girl (not to be confused with intelligent glasses girl). The popular girl (which i guess is straight haired girl). The pervert (gotta has the fanservice). The cute little girl (loli). The mysterious someone (either sex). The big quiet guy (great big teddy bear). The two girl combination of the cool one and the one that looks up to the former (in far more than just Azumanga Daioh). The guy accused of being a pervert but only by accident. The cute little brother. The hot older sister. And finally the light saber-wielding baby that can shoot lasers out of his mouth. Really. Anime needs more of that. Oh, that reminds me, do robots count as an anime stereotype?
when you say the big teddy bear guy, it kinda reminds me of Chado from Bleach, not sure why. Maybe cause I failed at picturing a fat guy, so a big, quite guy is what came to mind.
Thanks a lot for the suggestions
Chad is a teddy bear guy XD. By "big", i mean muscly dude. another popular example is Sphinx from gone in 60 seconds (althought that's not quite an anime >. > ). They're quiet, gentle, but they can pwn when they need to.
Oooo, looks really nice. All of these fit their respective stereotypes pretty well. I can just imagine how they'd all interact... each with their own quirks forming their responses to eachother. I'm really drawn to the world. Good job!
Its like I'm looking at the cast of The Breakfast Club in Japan XD j/k
They're all essentially wearing similar clothes but they all have a distinct something that makes them each unique. Excellent work<3 I'm glad you were ablt to post it.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
